The Pink Alligator is an odd-colored crocodilian creature, reported from Everglades, Florida. Tour guide Danny Decker twice encountered a pink alligator in a canal near Andytown, Florida, in early March 1976.

Possible explanationsEdit

  • Albinistic (pink-eyed) or leucistic (darkeyed) Alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) are white but could appear pink under certain lighting conditions.
  • The Spectacled caiman (Caiman crocodilus) has been introduced and is thriving in Dade County, Florida. Hatchlings are yellowish but turn darker in adulthood.
