The Honey Island Swamp Monster is a legendary bipedal cryptid creature that has been sited at Honey Island, Louisiana ever since the early 1960's. It is also often called Letiche by Native Americans and Tainted Keitre by cajuns or even the Lousiana Wookie because of his resemblance to the Wookiee species from Star Wars,
It is often described as being 7 feet tall and bipedal with shaggy gray hair and frightening yellow eyes and the creature often smells horrible. It also supposedly has webbed feet. Most people believe that the monster is half primate and half reptilian.
The first claimed sighting was in 1963 by Harlan Ford, a retired air traffic controller who had taken up wildlife photography. After his death in 1980, a reel of Super 8 film showing the creature was allegedly found among his belongings.
In 1974, the monster gained national fame after Ford and his friend Billy Mills claimed to have found unusual footprints in the area, as well as the body of a wild boar whose throat had been gashed. Ford continued to hunt for the creature for the next six years.
Absurd Origin Edit
In the early 1900's, there was a train wreck near the area. The train contained a whole host of different circus animals. The only animals that survived were the chimpanzees and they interbred with the local alligators in the swamp. Although, common sense would definitely point at this chimps can't reproduce with reptiles.
