The Xolotl is a horrible Underworld dog of Mexican mythology. His legs and feet are backward, and he can swivel his ears in any direction.
Every evening he catches the sun,and drags it down to the Underworld, where he dwells. He is also Quetzalcoatl's twin, the Evening Star and Venus. He's said to be a skeleton with backwards legs and feet (see above) with the head of a dog.
