Cherubim is the plural of cherub. They are winged beings, sometimes portrayed as a child, or a child's head. Descriptions from the Scripture differ- describing them as in the shapes of men, eagles, oxen, lions or a combination of them. There are two gold cherubs on the cover of the Ark of the Covenant. The cherubim of heraldry and art are different that those described in the Scriptures. Serves God, as a throne bearer or attendant.
